A report from App Annie's State of Mobile 2022 shows that Android users in the world's top 10 mobile markets spend a lot of time just scrolling through their phones.
How long does it take people to use smartphones?
Accordingly, each user averages 4.8 hours a day browsing apps in 2021. This is equivalent to about 1/3 of the hours we stay awake during the day. More specifically, every 7 out of 10 minutes is spent on social apps, photos and videos mainly.
Currently, Brazil and Indonesia are the two countries with the highest mobile usage globally (reaching 5.4 hours). In contrast, the US, although one of the leading countries in technology, is only ranked 10th with 4.2 hours of usage per day.
In addition, App Annie's report also said that the most popular application used by many people of the year was TikTok. This information is not too surprising, because this popular music video and social networking platform from China has reached 1 billion monthly users. This number even exceeds Twitter, Telegram, Reddit, Pinterest and Snapchat – applications that have long been familiar.
